This is the first colour mockup for my Double Page Spread. I like this so far as the main image has a unique background and fits with my quirky indie genre. I have also used the burgandy red font for the title which shows consistency and a link between my front cover and the double page spread. I might have to change the smaller image as its the same as my contents page.
I have created an Album cover to include in my magazine to promote my artist. I did some research into Artist/band album covers and used the conventions of them to help me create mine. I went onto PicMonkey.com to edit my image with colour tints and contrast, brightness and highlight tools and then added my text using paint.
Ellie Gouldings album cover, is the one I used as my inspiration. I like the simplicity of it, but yet it still looks professional. I took the photo of my artist as a close-up shot of her head and shoulders, she also changed clothes to what she was wearing in the previous photo-shoot as I wanted the Album cover to look professional.

Photography for my Magazine
In these two photographs, I chose a different location from my other images. I used my friends bedroom wall which is decorated with pictures and text. I feel this gives quite a quirky edge to the image and fits with my 'indie' theme. My model is pulling a serious/open mouth pose here which could connote an alluring appeal.
I took this photo as a facial close-up of my model. I also used 'Instagram' to edit it with the colour effect 'Nashville' to get a tinted colour tone to the image. I like this imag because it portrays my artist in a more feminine/girly way as she is wearing a patterened shirt/blouse and her make-up and complexion is very clear.
Over christmas I went to a 'Ben Howard' gig, whose genre of music fits with my indie-pop theme. I am going to use these images on my Contents Page as an advertisement for the gig tickets competition.
